Free Me From Myself: Chapter One
How does one begin with a story such as mine? Ah, no need to get lippy, mi hijo. However you are correct, for stories such as this one, it is best to start at the beginning. A beginning that happened long before I met your father, and even longer before I was blessed with you. This, mi hijo, is a story like no other, for it has truths and lies, parts that I never knew about until years later. It has love, anger, sadness, happiness, death, and life. It has so many things, that I doubt you will understand them at this moment, but I hope you will in the future, when you have your own family, and tell your children this story, so it does not die with me.
Oh…? You want me to start the story already? Fine, just for you mi amor. Once upon a time, just like any story begins…
The dark haired child laid, curled up, on a large bed, with a book propped open on their dainty legs. It was a history book, w

Short black painted nails tapped rhythmically on the countertop of the quaint little café’s bar, as the young man stared off to the side, silently waiting for his coffee. Though, normally a tea drinker, he always made the exception whilst visiting the hole-in-a-wall café. For one, it marked the halfway point between his apartment and the local college campus, two, it served good quality drinks and pastries at a reasonable price, and lastly—
“I hope I did not keep you waiting too long, sir.”
Lazily the young man dragged his sharp gray gaze up towards the cheerful sun kissed face of the lone barista the worked here. “Hardly. Also, how many times have I told you to just call me Levi? I hardly fit the role of a ‘Sir’ after all…” he commented, closing his eyes as she softly sat his drink down in front of him.

A Naturally Sweet Smile: Pilot EpisodeMy name is Ichigo… Ichigo Zoldyck to be exact. I am 12 and only have constant contact with my little sister Alluka. Well, I call her my sister, but Alluka was born with a boy's body. However, she is much more cute than any boy is, and twice as sweet, making her the best little sister.
Anyways, the reason I am locked away in this cell, in the far reaches of my own home, is beyond me. I have only been told it was for my own safety… though how being away from my family kept me safe, I will never understand. It was hinted that it had something to do with the moment I had been born and possibly my unique "magic" as I call it. Father and Granddaddy called it Nen, though.
It was something I could not explain, and it annoyed me, mainly when Mother said I could not leave my cell, or be around plants and animals… That was the worst thing she has ever sobbed about. "I don't want my little Chi leaving me like Killu!"
Kil, Killu, Killua… I knew him

Stretching, I welcomed the warmth of the blazing ball of gas the was high in the sky, my peach-tanned skin soaking up the delicious heat as if had been starved of it for months. Doing this made Gon and Leorio look at me oddly, not understanding the importance of being in my natural element. My body was starved for it, as the only source of fire/heat came from my match, and it was hardly enough to quench my body’s thirst for the very core of my being. Humans will never understand the importance of being surrounded by a certain element that is the base of their being, unlike with demons. We know the importance of them, as it is apart of us. We are children of these elements, and they deserved the respect and gratitude after bestowing us with our own unique abilities that represented either fire, ice, or water.
“Ladies and gentlemen, congratulations on having escaped Trick Tower.” A

The score showed 3-3… B-But how was that possible?!
The man, Magister, chuckled darkly. "Finally… finally that demon spawn is dead…" he looked pleased as we all stared at the overturned torch. Dark gray smoke seeped from under the rim, curling and twisting as they fought to escape. The door on the other side opened, showing another figure. "As the rules go, there are no ties, so one of you must fight again to pass."
"This might be my lucky day after all. If we can choose anybody from our team to fight this match, then of course it's going to be me." Magister's beady eyes dashed towards where Senka was covered, the large golden bowl rolling over the edge, falling into the blackness below to never be heard, as the dying flames licked at her exposed flesh; red embers falling from her black locks, only to land on her girlish shoulders.
"H-How! HOW DID YOU SURVIVE THAT?!" his high pitched voice bounced off t

It was late the next day when we finally arrived at the 3rd testing site. I only listened for a bit, finding out we had 72 hours to get to the bottom of 'Trick Tower' to count as a pass. Strolling over to the edge, I looked straight down. "How interesting that drop would be…" I mused, picturing the corpse at the base of the tower, nothing but a bloody inkblot on the hard soil below. Eyeing the other contestants, I vaguely wondered if I could get away with shoving someone off the side of the tower, just to see what they would look like when they make impact with the hard ground.
"That's a creepy smile…" Killua pointed out, walking over to me with Gon trailing after like a faithful puppy. "What are you thinking of that could cause a creepy look such as that?"
"What do you think, say, Tonpa would look like if I shoved him over the side?" I asked, speaking loud enough so that the giant tub of lard could hear.

A night in New York City. Supposedly the proud parent of romantic encounters around the numerous landmarks, gigantic blow out parties in the hottest night clubs, and the ritziest people found on every high end block.
Now, if someone could explain how that translated to you dragging a drunken Mr. Ackerman home, that would be just lovely.
Beginnings are the best place to start things, so let's roll back a few hours. The annual company bash was in full swing, the windows of the office's lobby reverberating with the noise. You weren't sure if a single coworker was sober outside yourself. Even the sullen Mikasa had a pink tint to her cheeks, and the company's President, Erwin, looked a bit tipsy.
The law-firm of Rose, Sina, and Maria were celebrating their fifth year of being an economic empire. The money couldn't be stopped from rolling in, and said circumstances meant bonuses. Everyone had a reason to celebrate the extra change in their pockets. You had planned for the event for an extens

Living on the streets was not easy.
There was murderers, rapists, and not to mention the God-awful drunks that threw glass bottles at you.
But one could guess such was the life of a cat. A cat in Victoria England.
You gazed at your surroundings in disgust. Being in the alley of a bar was gross. You couldn't believe this actually happened to you.
One day you were taking a stroll in the park and lightly bumped into a man in a cloak. In surprise he yelled "Abracadabra" and poof! Your life as a human was over.
You growled bitterly recalling that awful memory. 'That stupid man! If only I scratched him with my claws maybe he would have turned me back...'
Sadly that wasn't the case because you ran away in disbelief to what just happened. You ran and and ran. You ran until your paws were bleeding. Until your breaths became diminished to hurried pants. Until exhaustion overtook your tiny body and made you succumb to a nightmarish sleep.
Coming out of that

"(Name), we would like..." Levi began.
"...That stuff you commoners call instant coffee." Rivaille finished, and you frowned.
"Why can't you get it yourself?" You grumble. Levi and Rivaille both smirked.
"Well, someone broke an expensive vase." Levi teased, making you glare daggers at him.
"In all honesty it didn't even look that expensive." You defensively say.
"Hm, well, too bad isn't it?" Rivaille says, making you sigh.
"Do I really have to? This couch is really comfy," You say, motioning to the leather couch you were plopped on. They both shake their heads. You look away frowning.
"Either that, or you can yell." Levi suggests, making you look back at him confused.
"What?" You deadpan.
"You seem like the kind of person that hides their actual rage, besides you blatant sarcasm. If you yell, it'd be quite entertaining, don't you think Levi?" Rivaille asks, as Levi nods

“Ohhh how long has it been since we’ve been to the beach??” (Name) cried, stretching her tired limbs with every emphasis. Finally, they were all at the beach. The most magical, relaxing and vacation perfect place they could think of, and it was all thanks to (Name).
Clad in only a bikini and a long shirt as a cover-up, (Name) had then convinced Fury to give all the Avengers a decent vacation. And Bucky Barnes had been included because 1) She had a massive crush on the man and 2) Because she knew he needed the break more than anyone else.
Since joining SHIELD, he’d had it rough. All the other agents and personnel were wary of him thanks to his past as the Winter Soldier, which basically meant no one really trusted or liked him aside from Steve and (Name), and the Avengers more or less since she’d convinced them that he was a decent guy, for the most part.
And here they all were, ready to kick back at the beach in
First Glance - Levi x Reader
You sat on the grassy field beneath, your face turned ahead but your eyes not really looking at anything in particular. You felt the presence of a man beside you – the same man you had given your heart to.
Levi – it was a beautiful name. You loved how it sounded, whether it rolled off your tongue or his. It was simple, not a tongue twister like many other names you’d heard, no. Levi was short and sweet – just like the man who the name belonged to, you assumed.
You smiled a little to yourself. Knowing he was there made you feel safe, even a little flustered. But there had been something you always wanted to know about him – something you’d never figured out, something that had been hounding your mind for years.
He spoke up; breaking the silent air between you two. His voice filled your ears. “Hey, [First], are you feeling okay? You’re looking a little flushed.”
Your smile grew wider. You loved how protective he was of you. He w

The night had ended, but today was a new day. Memories were destined to be made today, and surprises were probably right around the corner. Levi knew how to start the day off right and decided to take you to one of the little French cafés Paris was famous for. As you walked into the quaint little café, the warm aroma of tea, coffee, and pastries took over your senses. Levi seemed to be in a pretty good mood too since there weren't many people here, hoping that you two would have some time to talk. He took his hand in yours and walked up to the cashier at the counter.
"Bonjour monsieur, que puis-je faire pour vous? (Good morning sir, what can I get for you?)" the young cashier spoke, a small blush on her face. Not that you really cared if she thought your fiancé was cute. Most girls, even if they were frightened by him, thought he was handsome. You rarel

All That Jazz
Levi x Reader [AU]
Ah, Friday night. You're hectic week at work was finally coming to a close, and you had tonight to yourself. Some of your friends would go to the club, others would stay home and watch tv, but you had better plans. You were going to go to your favorite coffee shop tonight and watch the Friday night entertainment. By entertainment, you meant the incredibly hot jazz guitarist that plays there every Friday night, Levi.
Levi wasn't like the other musicians that played at your coffee shop. Nothing he played was ever planned or repetitive, that's just the way jazz was. Improvisation. It was free, creative, and one of your favorite things to listen to. Sometimes he would get a little daring and play some blues or jazz fusion as well, which was even crazier. You would watch him play his beautiful music, drink coffee or tea, give him a generous tip, and once he was done at 11:00 you would head home. Lately though, more and more girls had started

”[First name], honey, are you ready?”
I turned to the mirror in front of me and took a look at myself. My [hair colour] locks were perfectly curled, my cheeks were a little pink and my lips were red from make-up. The dress that I was wearing was black; it was close-fitting, it covered my arms and my neck, but let my legs be seen from the knees. I usually didn’t particularly like my appearance, but this time even I was pleased with how I looked.
”Yes dad, I’m ready.” I answered and walked out of my room. My father was standing there in a suit that must have cost a fortune, waiting for me. He furrowed his eyebrows as he was observing my outfit.
”I don’t think I’ll let you alone for a minute. You can’t dance with anybody, you know that?”
I rolled my eyes.
”You want to force me to listen to your dull conversations with those old men? No way.”
He laughed and took my arm.
”Of course not. But you’re too

"Alright, that's a iced mocha for you, and a latte for me." A voice rang out, setting something on the table. You looked up from your book to see a green-eyed boy giving you a warm smile. You grinned back, and took your cup from the table as he sat across from you.
"Look at you, already knowing my coffee order." You said. He rolled his eyes with a soft smile and sipped his drink.
"I've known your coffee order for a long time, since we've been together for two years." He said, leaning across the table to kiss the tip of your nose. You two had both met in college, and immediately clicked. He was a year older than you, sure, but still. It wasn't such a gap, though your parents still disapproved. He was in his last year, while you were on your third.
You shrugged with a smirk once he pulled away. "Well, a big turn-on for girls is when a guy knows her coffee order. It may sound stupid to you, but for us, it means that you're actually listening and paying attention to us."
His eyes widened.
Teenage TaoismGiving birth is the closest I’d ever felt to dying.
Before that, my near death experiences had consisted only of my silent announcement of pregnancy—silent, being that my social media accounts were all deleted almost simultaneously and I never returned to school in the fall, saying without really saying that I had caught the malicious disease of “teenage pregnancy”. I’m sure the whisper spread in the hallways like the Bubonic Plague. That September, sitting at home on what would have been the first day of my senior year, I imagined friends I’d never talk to again saying “she was only seventeen, and so full of life!” at my absence in the cafeteria tables, as if they were attending my funeral instead of talking about me behind my back.
"Full of life," I had snorted then, folding a never ending stream of what had once been my own baby clothes. "Literally."
I walked around like a zombie for the months of my pregnancy, deciding t
